What if the God you’ve been searching for has been searching for you all along?
Growing up as a pastor’s son in Scotland, Kenny Russell knew all about Christianity – but knowing about God was not the same as knowing Him. Beneath the outward appearance of faith was a restless search for meaning, purpose, and certainty that no amount of religion could satisfy.
Everything changed when, as an eleven-year-old boy, he encountered the living presence of God. In a moment that would transform the course of his life, Kenny discovered that faith is not built on tradition, performance, or religious identity – it begins with a personal relationship with the Creator through Yeshua, the Messiah.
In I Am a Witness – The Search Is Over, Kenny shares the remarkable story of God’s pursuit of his life and the lessons learned through more than four decades of walking with the Messiah. With honesty, warmth, and biblical insight, he invites readers to consider the same question that changed everything for him:
Is it possible to truly know God – not merely know about Him?
Whether you are exploring faith for the first time, questioning long-held religious beliefs, or longing for a deeper relationship with God, this book offers a clear and hope-filled invitation to discover the peace, purpose, and transformation found in the Messiah.
Inside this book, you will discover:
- Why religion can never satisfy the deepest longing of the human heart.
- How God actively pursues those who are searching for Him.
- The life-changing difference between knowing about God and truly knowing Him.
- The work of the Holy Spirit in leading, comforting, and transforming believers.
- What it means to become a new creation in Messiah.
- How to walk confidently in your new life with God.
More than a memoir, I Am a Witness – The Search Is Over is an invitation to begin your own journey of faith. Through personal testimony and practical biblical teaching, Kenny Russell points readers beyond himself to the One who still changes lives today.
The search is over—not because every question has been answered, but because the One who is the Answer has made Himself known.

Reader Testimony —
“This isn’t just a sit-down-and-read kind of book. It is the testimony of a man no different than me, and through it I have been challenged to examine my own life.
I Am a Witness — The Search Is Over helped me recognize pillars of false teaching, incorrect doctrine, and even prayers that went against Scripture. It caused me to ask some serious questions: Why was I made? Why am I a son, a husband and a father? Why do I call myself a Christian? Eventually, all those questions came down to something much deeper: What is my identity in Yeshua?
I chased pastors and teachers for much of my life but missed the main purpose. Was I actually seeking to become more like Yeshua, or was I simply trying to become a better ‘Christian’?
Even sitting here in prison tonight, I marvel that our Creator takes the time to hear a man like me. I am amazed that He loves even those of us who took fifty years finally to hear His voice.
This book is helping me realize that I can hear my Shepherd’s voice—and hearing Him means I must obey Him. I was already learning to walk in the Spirit before receiving the book, but what I am reading has brought confirmation: just obey.
I am walking in the Spirit, hearing from Yeshua, and being led into deeper fellowship with the Father.”

Esther –
When I started reading I’m A Witness, the Search is Over, I had felt stuck in my walk with God for a very long time.
I had lost my confidence; not in who God was but in His love for me.
Each time Kenny recounted how he sat in his closet every morning at 11 yrs old to read his Bible and get to know God,
the Holy Spirit kept taking me back to a place in my life where I was so passionate and excited to get up every day and read the Word.
It broke my heart because I felt I had lost that a long time ago and had no idea how to get it back.
How do you fall in love again when you feel you are so unworthy to be loved? That’s how I felt deep down.
But I knew because of the depth of the grief that I was feeling that the Holy Spirit was working on my heart
so I stayed in that place and decided to trust the process.
It felt like God was cutting out all the lies I was believing about Him and how He truly felt about me.
And then He started showing me all the truths I needed to move on.
I can say now hand on heart that God truly made a way for me to move forward. To let go of the past and to just keep going; to do the very thing that He called me to do.
I did eventually read the whole book and now I am rereading it again, slower this time, highlighting key points because the one thing I really saw straight up as I flicked though all the chapters is how this book would become for me a roadmap on how to fully function in the Spirt and be a valuable asset in the God’s Kingdom.
